Eterra Auger Bit - 12. Eterra Cast Heavy Duty Auger Bits - 12 Diameter: Rated to 4500 ft. This is an auger bit designed for heavy duty use in extreme ground conditions. Rocks, Boulders, Lava or areas mixed with cement or large broken solid rocks are ok. If your conditions are steadily rough, consider adding our Tungsten Carbide Cutter Teeth and Fishtail Point for longer life and better bite. We know of nothing tougher in the industry. From our Cast Heavy Duty Drive Heads to our thick walled tubing and forged cutter holder, Do not use on solid surfaces like concrete or asphalt driveways. For solid surface conditions choose the Rock Augers. Auger Bits: - Cast - Difficult Ground Conditions Available bit sizes - 4", 6", 9", 12", 18", 24", 30" & 36". 4" augers use a 2" main tube, 1 flighting and a carbide drill point. A note about our auger design. We design based on the toughest criteria and our experience. Many people think that a double flighted auger is better because it will be stronger. We use a single flighted auger and a forged drive head so that the strength issue is not an issue. Our heads wil outlast any auger that has double flighting ending up connecting to their digging teeth.

Our flighting design allows the auger to clear faster. Double flighting in a dirt design just clogs and causes the auger to carve the hole out so it will be oversized and jammed up with debris. This results in less productivity and higher costs due to having to put more concrete into the hole because of the larger size.
